We must occupy the territory given to us today. By taking up our place here, being present with the Spirit, then, our God will contend with our enemies confronting us there until they are destroyed.

Deuteronomy 7:21-24
v21. “ Do not be terrified by them, for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God.

v22. The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little. You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you.

v23. But the Lord your God will deliver them over to you, throwing them into great confusion until they are destroyed.

v24. He will give their kings into your hands, and you will wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand up against you; you will destroy them. “

While our deliverance in Christ is secured in His promise (….”On Him we have set our hope. And He will again rescue us from danger and draw us near” – 2 Cor 1:10b AMP).

We daily must learn to maintain that land by grace. It is one thing to take possession but to truly occupy we must learn to maintain what he gives us right now becoming stable (settled) in order for Him to entrust us with even more.

We declare that we “will remain confident of this: that we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. We wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Ps 27:13-14 NIV
